2003 Mini Cooper Parts Would you recommend a mini cooper as a good car?
I drive a 2003 vw Beetle so much stuff has happened to my car. everytime i turn around the check engine light its on.. worse part i just got the car last MAY and EVERYMONTH i'm in the repair shop gettin my car worked on. I was looking into earlier a mini cooper are the cars pretty good? Do they require alot of repairs like Vw's?
I had a Mini Cooper S for two years and loved every second of it. The synthetic oil makes the oil changes required only every 7-10,000 miles.
One drawback is that MINI suggests only fueling with premium gasoline so it can get a bit expensive.
I never had to take my MINI in for service beyond the typical checkups and fluid changes.
The fold-down seats are a nice benefit; without them, the "trunk" is nearly useless.

There are sensors that tell you when your brake pads are worn out. That is probably what is making the screeching sound. Get them replaced soon, as they will eventually wear down to the metal rivets on the pads and ruin your brake rotors.
