I know this is an odd mix of cars, but I am 18 and my dads wants to help me get a car for college. I am paying around 3/4 of the price so I want to get something that is a good blend of performance, looks, features, reliability, fuel economy, and low maintenance costs.

As I said I am an 18 year old male, and want some good performance and looks, but still want a car that is reliable and does not cost a ton to maintain and is good on gas. Please let me know what you think about these, even though they are all not in the same class.
I would say no to the Benz or the Lexus. First of all, although they are the fastest among the cars mentioned, they are also costly to maintain, not to mention they don't get great gas mileage. Looks, reliability, low maintenance costs and fuel economy the Honda Civic Si wins hands down. Not to mention it will hold its resale value better than the Mitsubishi. The Civic Si also has a fair amount of performance, and are VERY fun to drive. Just my opinion.

Should I buy my first car or just drive my mom's old car?
I'm 16 years old with a license. My mom's old car is a 1993 Honda accord LX. It is in perfect condition. It has 165k miles on it. Everything works like it should. The Engine, Transmission, A/C, and the speedometer works perfect. There are no mechanical or cosmetic flaws. It looks it just came out of the dealership because nothing wrong with it. By the way she did buy it brand new from a dealership in 1993.
The only reason why I want a different car is because I prefer 2 door cars. Not really a sports car because insurance is higher for them and I don't need it. I was thinking of something like a used Honda civic coupe, toyota MR2, Celica , or a Mini cooper.
My cousin who is 31 and owns a 2004 honda civic coupe says i should just run another 100k on it because honda is very reliable as long as it is maintained all the time.
