2005 Mini Cooper AutoMatic how do you disable the automatic door locks on a 2005 mini cooper?
i just bought a used 2005 mini cooper s, and i was wondering how to disable the automatic door locks. every time i start driving, the doors lock automatically, and it doesn't unlock unless you unlock the doors manually, or trying to open the door, and then the door will unlock, but you have to let the handle go and then pull it a second time before the door will actually open. i just have a feeling it'll cause me a big problem if i don't change it. i don't want to go to the dealer to have them show me how to do it though. does anyone know the code sequence on how to do it?
well i still want the power door locks, but i don't want them to automatically lock once i start driving. i looked in the manual and it tells you that you can disable it, but it doesn't tell you how. i was just wondering if anyone knew the code to do it.
I believe all you need to do is remove the fuse.I been in those car that lock you in and i don't like it.

Can I turn this vehicle from a manual to an automatic?
The car is a 2005 mini cooper (convertable) and it has 28,059 miles on it the engine in this cooper is 1.6L I4 but the problem is the transmission because it a MANUAL... it is a 2 door and its wheelbase is 97 inches...The color on the outsido of it is a cool blue metallic and the inside color is black with some white. And the price of it is $19,980

sure u can u will jus have to get automatic tranny and change the clutch assembly remove it get torque convertor then u have to se if it the same siz if it not u will have to get the driveshaft changed and and i think u have to reprogram the computer so yee i think it would cost like 3 grand
