2005 Mini Cooper S Mini Cooper jumping RPM problem?
I have a 2005 Mini Cooper S and lately I have been noticing that when braking, the RPM's jump dramatically to a higher level(around 3500), which causes the car to jerk. What is causing this to happen? The car is an automatic.
Sounds like somehow, you or something is pressing both the gas and brake pedal at the same time.
Do you have non-factory car mats resting against the gas pedal?
This also sounds like a safety issue... so make sure to bring it to the dealer if you are sure you do not have anything pressing on the pedal.
