Subaru WRX, Mini Cooper S, or Honda Civic Hybrid?

Alright, I have narrowed my car search to the 3 cars listed in the question. My situation is this:

I am 22 and about to start my first job after grad school. I'll be commuting to a larger city that takes me about 30 minutes to get there without traffic (with traffic 45 minutes to an hour). There's some stop and go driving on the interstate. Anyways, I've always wanted a WRX, but have become less enthusiastic since they changed the body style. I want something that is FUN to drive.

I like the mini S because it handles so great, and it gets really good gas mileage (customization is pretty sweet too). With the way I would make mine, it will cost around the same as a WRX.

The hybrid civic would be my "Sensible Choice." Since I'm driving so much, the double gas efficiency of the hybrid over the WRX is appealing. Also, it's going to cost me about $4,000 less.

Should I go power, handling, or economy???

The WRX are ok. I've known people who modded em though, and like previously stated the drivetrain would worry me.

I drove a mini s for a few days because i was debating whether or not to buy one. And let me tell you. It's not easy. Maybe it's just Florida. But all i ever got in that thing was. "Hey that's a cute car" and "well at least it's good on gas" Even old people. Lol.

I've never driven a hybrid. But if their reliability is anything like the other hondas you shouldn't have to worry about much. Great gas mileage obviously. But lacks the power.

I personally would get the civic. Just cause the way gas prices are going right now it's better to get a reliable car that gets great gas mileage and just buy something cheap to build and make it a fun car.

I'm a student (girl) who is going to commute to school in LA (30 min.), so I want a reliable car, but I want to look cute too lol.

Cr-Z- slightly better mileage, not a lot of people have it, Honda so it'll last forever, brand new
Mini Cooper- way cuter, i will like driving it a lot more, i will probably like it in the future, but maybe won't last as long as Honda, also slightly used (but it doesn't really matter)

They are both amazing cars... so i don't know which one to choose...Which would you choose?

hybrid will be cheaper to run ignore the comment about the battery he doesnt know what hes talking about....a mini cooper will be far more entertaining though in the corners etc if there are any in the US lol
