Bmw Mini Cooper Gear A question to Mini Cooper S owners?
Recently I bought a 2006 cooper S, it has low miles so still under warranty....I was unhappy with the clutch, so i took it to Downtown Mini in Toronto and asked them to check the clutch and if needed...replace it.........when i picked up the car, they told me the flywheel was defective from new....so they changed the flywheel and installed a new clutch...all under warranty..very cool.......the gear change is still very notchy, (if that is how it is spelled)...I took it back and had a mechanic drive the car, he said it was ok...in truth I don't believe him........my question is
to cooper S owners
how is your gear change?.....smooth or notchy....I find i hard to believe BMW would have a gear change worse than a ford
I am asking for input, before i take it back to downtown mini, i just wondered if it is normal for a cooper S to have such a crappy gear change

Your clutch cable is to tight and will take time to feel normal,but that is normal.Dont worry,.
