Cooper Auto What does "(01 ON)" mean on the vehicle description of my insurance?
I just bought a car that was sold to me as 2002/02 registered but when i insured it today and put the number plate in, the vehicle description was automatically filled with : MINI COOPER 1.6I (01 ON) AUTO. What does the "(01 ON)" means? Is it because it's actually a 2001 car?
It means your car is of the model produced from 2001 to the present (at the time the system was set up). This allows insurance companies (and others) to distinguish between different generations of the same model, without having to refer to the exact year of any particular car.

Finally when our technical knowledge ran out and we wanted to even more expert advice we consulted with the likes of the late Jeff Daniels (Top technical writer0 and the late Mike Cooper (Automotive Photographer)
