BMW Mini Cooper (R56) Dependability?
Hello,
I am seriously considering buying a BMW Mini Cooper (R56 hardtop models only-Cooper and Cooper S) after I graduate from college.
How is the long term dependability of the Mini? I have heard the clutches in the manual cars are really weak. How are they as used cars? Everyone I have looked at has really low mileage (never see one over like 50k). Is this a warning sign?
The R56 hardtop didn't hit the scene until 2007, so low miles would be expected.
The R53 models have a few issues... weak clutch being one of them. The R56 doesn't seem to suffer from this same issue so far.
