Miles Looks Runs
Buying a BMW with 120k miles. 7-Series...runs fine but leaks oil. Could this be a needed gasket job? PLZ HLP!!?
Hey I'm buying a BMW 740i. It runs fine, pulls strong (according to owner) i'm yet to test drive it.
But he says it leaks some oil (getting worse)...
The price is $3,500 for a 98" 740 with a FULL sport package, 18" BMW parallel rims, rear euro, lowered, looks GREAT...for $3,500 I cant really drive anything that looks better
BUT could the oil leak be something huge? like a head gasket job? could I be screwing myself over EVEN if it test drives excellent? Also it wiggles after heavy braking like quickly exiting a freeway...he says the front rotors are warped but won't have to be replaced for a couple months..seems legit but I want to know the above answers..
PLEASE, GOD BLESS, give some advice/tips/suggestions
DONT tell me to take it to a mechanic please, i dont have extra cash..also please dont tell me it has too many miles...I FREAKING know that...im paying $3,500 not $35,000...

I just bought a z3 with a big oil leak for a steal... I expected to pay at least $300 for an oil pan gasket replacement but it turned out to be an oil filter gasket ($7 including new filter). Hopefully you have the same issue check the oil filter housing for signs of leaks there are 3 gaskets that can be replaced. 2 on the stick looking thing and 1 on the housing itself. The kit also includes a copper oil plug gasket also. If you notice this is the problem keep it to yourself the seller need not know and you can save $$$.

Running Many Miles a Day?
I hear about kids running 3-6 miles during their training season in crew and cross country and they say it like doing it is a breeze. I look online and people say they run this many miles in this amount of time. I'm going to start running to build up my speed and stamina gradually, running longer distances as I train. One thing that I'm curious about is whether running long distances IS easy to do. I've seen people who run 1-2 miles just for a warm-up. That makes it look like running 5 miles is easy. But when those people run 5 miles, can they run it without becoming tired? Does the pull on their muscles affect their running ability? Or do they experience fatigue and run it because of mental motivation? And does one's tolerance to muscle tiredness come naturally as one trains? I'd really like to know what goes on when someone runs for so many miles.
Pull meaning strain.
Some people with proper training can run several miles and not feel fatigue.
Some people do not have the ability to run long distance without getting tired.
If you train and condition your cardiovascular system you can in fact run many miles and not feel tired.
I am not sure what you mean by the pull on their muscles and if it affects their running ability.
I have never felt like running easy pulls on my muscles unless I was injured.
Many people are motivated to run because they enjoy it or run for another reason such as competition.
Your ability to run long distance is improved as you continue to train.
To find out what goes on you will have to do it yourself, because everyone has a different view or feeling about running.
