ok so i brought (well, got finance for) a mini cooper two weeks ago.. and 1 week after driving it the pipe to my window washer tank split. This is apparently not covered by warranty so mini want to charge me £55 to fix it for me (bearing in mind the part only costs £4, what a rip off!!) I've only had the car two weeks, so is it right for them to ask me for money over something like this when i've only just got the car!!! is it worth putting in a complaint?
Tell me about it - within 3 weeks of having my car I had to pay for a new exhaust, and have some fitting replaced. I got £50 quid back. My warranty lasted for one month. Within the next few weeks I had to replace the tyres, have a new clutch fitted and on and on. I would put in a complaint to the garage, but don't expect anything back. It's worth a try though.
