Mini Cooper Electric Car Help - Mini Cooper S cigarette socket ?
Okay so i've recenty purchased an 07 Mini Cooper S 1.6, and it doesn't have the smoker's pack, which I assumed meant it didn't have a lighter or an ashtray, but i'm finding i can't use the lighter socket to plug in any chargers for my phone or sat nav - is this normal or is there a fault ? Because I find it hard to believe you have to pay for electric in a socket ! Plus my manual clearly states I can plug things into it and labels the LIGHTER as extra, NOT the power socket.
Should I just take it to my nearest Mini Cherished dealer (that's where I got the car, it wasn't a private seller) ?

The objects are sat nav, phone charger, ipod charger, all very standard and worked fine in my other socket in my citroen, so I doubt it would be them.
The problem is I HAVE the socket I just don't know why it's not working .
Sounds like the power socket is faulty, or the fuse has blown or the things you are trying to plug in do not have the correct end on them. Some chargers/adaptors are different and there are 2 different types.

Recently, German luxury car makers show an optimistic mood. Compared with the same period last year, BMW sales in September increased 0.7%. The other two businesses Mercedes-Benz and Audi's sales are down. But the rate of decline is far less than a few months before.
For the German luxury car manufacturers, the worst-case scenario may have in the past, sales once again started to rise. Emerging countries, especially China's auto sales have been restored to normal, rapid rise, so that China will soon surpass Germany to become the largest sales market for Audi.
In the first nine months of this year, Audi sold a total of 167,000 in Germany, while in China, sold 109,000. Compared with the same period last year, Audi sales in China increased by 20% in September was 36.5 percent more of a dramatic increase.
