Mini Cooper S Accessories Has anyone perchased a 2007 mini cooper "S"?
Can you tell me anything about it?
Does it drive smooth? As in not bumpy? Have you needed to make any repairs? were the repairs cheap?
Does the Nav system work nicely?
Any recomendations on the packages?
Have you perchased any Accessories? Like a cold air intake? Does it sound louder? does it make a difference in performance?
Does the "S" cooper move fast enough for you?
I test drove the 07' because I was going to trade in my 05' for one. few things I didnt like was the cosmetic changes and they took out the sports suspension option from the sports package, which sucks if you really like to drive the mini and have fun with it around corners. It also sitts up higher about 2 inches which is very noticable when compared to the 02'-06'. the car looks larger which takes away from the MINI feel. And because of the suspension not being as firm, it feels a lot softer. The options on the inside are very pretty though. nice colors, the gauges change color, i like the double sunroof opening, and it is faster. I am a fan of turbos over superchargers so I did like the feel of the turbo kicking in at 2300 rpm. Its got a lower rev with more go. and because of the turbos, its a lot quieter. overall the car is very nice but I didnt like the cosmetic work done to it. also when you look at the headers that go into the turbos, BMW looks like they welded it together and didnt do much about it. I looked poorley finished. Which is why I still have a 05'
