Firestone = (4 tires) 60,000 mile rating $580.00 includes mounting, stems, balance, install and road hazard.
OR
Cooper? 4 tires / 80,000 mile rating, installed but no "road hazard"? for $547.00?
I'd go with the Coopers. The "Road Hazard" feature is a wasting asset, as they keep reducing its value as the tires are used up. And few tires are ruined by road hazards anyway. The higher mileage rating means you'll get a better tire for less money.

What is the best winter tire for a Mini Cooper S? Blizzak, Nokian, Michelin?

I am in need of a new set of winter tires for my Mini Cooper S. I run a 15x6.5 Mille Miglia rim in the winter and I have previously used Blizzak WS-50s (on an '89 E30 BMW) and a set of Michelin X-Ice (on the E30 BMW and on the Mini).
Now I am looking for a new set of tires and I honestly cannot decide. I am considering Blizzak WS-60's, Michelin X-Ice's, and Nokian Hakkapelitta RSi's. I am, of course, open to suggestions from other Mini owners or from owners of other similarly sized/performing cars.

I will be driving in no snow, light snow, deep snow (not very deep, but maybe as much as 4"-6," hopefully not, but sometimes things are unpredictable in a northern winter), ice, and slush. I am looking for a good winter tire for a Mini Cooper S that can handle whatever winter throws. Studded tires are illegal in my state, so I need a studdless winter tire.
