Mini Cooper Wheels
Tyre scuffing, 2001 Mini Cooper?
Is it possible that the rear wheel tracking or alignment can be out on my wifes 2001 Mini Cooper? The rear nearside tyre is so badly worn on the inside that the wire is showing through! All the other tyres are ok. What could be the problem?
Needs putting on a 4 wheel allignment check with camber angles checked and adjusted as well. A simple garage tracking gizmo might not do the trick - obviously it cannot be driven like that and ideally the tyres need to be in fairly good condition to get the check done accurately.

Mini Cooper Run Flat Corghi AM26
Has anyone else had any problems with their power steering pump on a Mini Cooper?
I bought my car about 4 months ago & ever since I have had it the steering has made a strange noise, its hard to describe but its sort of like a quiet whistling noise which gets louder when the sterring wheel is turned. Anyway I am paying for it to be fixed on the weekend but want to know if it is likely to happen again as I have been told it is a very common problem with Mini's!?!?

Not too common. The power steering motor is located low on the Mini, and can be subject to it's cooling fan being block or clogged by road debris. Then they can burn out if not cleaned off. Some aftermarket companies make a screen to prevent this. I'm not saying that's the issue with your particular car, but it has been known to happen.
Since you are paying to have it fixed, I would guess your Mini was bought used, otherwise you could have it fixed under warranty. You aren't saying what year your Mini is, the might be helpful.
