Which car should i buy with a very low budget?

My parents are buying me a car for my 16th birthday and gave me a 2000 dollar allowance. I can't find any nice cars that i like. Of course it will have to be used and won't be perfect, but does anyone know any cute cars i could find for that much? I will not settle for anything older than 2000-2001. I like the styles of the Nissan Xterra and Mini Cooper, and even the Mercury Cougar. Right now i'm looking into Kia's, but again, i can't find any for less than 2000 made within the last ten years. Any help or suggestions? I live in Georgia, by the way, so if you know any around here...

If you had $5,000 you might be able to find something suitable. With only $2,000 there is nothing out there.

Look at 1991 Acura Integra which would be in the around $3,000 range.

I don't like ordinary Civics, Accords, or Corolla's.. They're not cool.

I want a car that's gonna last a couple of years, the highest mileage for these cars I found Is 110,000 Miles. I would probably get an Automatic. I would like to try and get cheaper insurance.. but me being a 16 year old male.. All cars are expensive.. Civic's cost as much as BMW's.

i'm 17 and getting a 9-3. get good mileage and they're fast. or get the 330i
