I need a good brush set, not the mini kind but y'know, the normal kind with all the basic brushes.
It would be my first so nothing too professional, because.. well it's just a starters...
And I live in Canada... so if I were to go online shopping, I need somewhere that could ship to Canada. I went on coastalscent.com and they had super amazing brushes for really cheap, and they were good quality, just the thing is that they don't ship to Canada. Such a shame.
THANKS!
sephora always has good stuff..
also ulta
both those have resonably priced brushes.. not mini sets but i have seen them sale them in sets.. cheaper that way.. good luck : )

Super Mini Electronic Cigarette Getting Started Demo / Tutorial
Fiinger food and mini food ideas?!?
My mum is having a 40th, for couple of my friends 18th there has been a caterer serving small portions of food such as
Fish and chips
Chicken Satay
Breaded prawns
Burgers
Toad in the whole
Spaghetti and Meatballs
It all been like super small portions like starters while everyone is stood around. Literally or two bites.
It can be expensive thinking about making some myself, could you please give me some recipes ideas of other foods.
Thanks
xXx
Stuffed cherry tomatoes - just cut the tops off, use a grapefruit spoon to take out the seeds and make a cavity in the tomato and then fill with softened, herbed cream cheese. You can cut a tiny sliver from the bottom of the tomatoes if you need to so they stand upright when they are filled. Sprinkle some finely snipped chives over the top to make it purty!
Bacon wrapped shrimp (can be adapted for just about anything, really - who doesn't like bacon?) - get some thinly sliced bacon and cut it into pieces just large enough to wrap around a peeled, raw jumbo shrimp. Secure it with a toothpick, season it with salt and pepper and bake them at about 400 on an oiled baking sheet until bacon is crisp. Squeeze some lemon or lime over it and serve.
Crabless rangoons - Mix softened cream cheese with a bit of garlic and onion, both finely chopped and add a splash of worcestershire sauce. Put a bit of the cream cheese mixture just past the center of a wonton wrapper and fold it over the cheese, forming a triangle. You can draw up the edges to make a "purse" if you want. Fry in hot oil until wonton wrappers are golden brown. Serve with purchased sweet and sour sauce.
Cocktail meatballs - A slightly foul sounding, yet tasty concoction. Melt some concord grape jelly in a saucepan, stirring frequently. Add an equal amount of spicy BBQ sauce - whatever brand you like - and transfer to a slow cooker. Add in purchased, frozen meatballs and set to high until hot and bubbly. Switch to low and keep warm in the slow cooker for service.
Empanadillas - These are the name for small empanadas and can be stuffed with pretty much anything you want. I cheat when I'm making a lot of stuff and just buy frozen puff pastry. Thaw the pastry and cut into squares about the size of your wonton/gyoza wrappers I was talking about up there ^^^^. Fill them just like you did the wonton wrappers with whatever you want (make sure it's already cooked, tho, and leave these in a triangular shape), making sure to seal them well around the edges with the tines of a fork. Bake at 350 until pastry is puffed and golden. Some of my favorite fillings are - well, my leftovers. LOL! You can use cooked roast beef, leftover or from a can, cheese, onion, garlic, green chiles or chile powder; tuna, onion, garlic, chopped green olives, capers and goat cheese is a more mediterranean filling and very nice - just saute the onions and garlic in olive oil first to get rid of the "raw" taste; poached, shredded chicken with queso fresco or other mild white cheese and chopped chipotles from the can; plain ol' taco seasoned ground beef with cheese, a bit of finely diced tomato and maybe some tiny dices of avocado.... just whatever you want to put in there. It's always nice to have some sour cream and/or guacamole and/or salsa to dip some of these.
Toasted Ravioli - get yourself some good quality frozen cheese ravioli and thaw it out, but do NOT cook them. Beat one egg in a bowl with a couple tablespoons of milk and dip the ravioli in there. Roll them around in some seasoned Italian bread crumbs and deep fry them until golden brown. Top with freshly grated parmesan and make sure you have some warmed marinara sitting around to dip them. This was the "trendy" appetizer a while back and is starting to show up at home parties, too. Everyone seems to love them.
Bake a pan of brownies either with your favorite recipe or just out of a box and then cut into small squares. You can also make itty bitty cookies for your sweets tray if you're not having cake/ice cream. Of course you'll make a fruit tray, right? Just mix some marshmallow fluff and softened, plain cream cheese, maybe add a touch of vanilla and you have a very nice fruit dip. I use a whole jar of fluff and a 8 oz block of cream cheese. Do a veggie tray as well and use hollowed out bell peppers to hold your dip assortment.
This should get you started, and I'm sure a lot of other people have ideas for you, too! (I need more coffee, my brain just went dead. )
Oh, the most important part - have fun and enjoy the party and the cooking!
