Mkz Zephyr Why does my finance company have the wrong car listed?
I recently bought and 2006 Lincoln Zephyr. Financing was approved by a third party finance company. When I received mail from the finance company, they had my car listed as a 2007 Lincoln MKZ.
Should I be worried about any funny business here?
Since the finance company seems to think they have financed a 2007 MKZ, is the dealership obligated to honor that and upgrade me to a 2007 since they're around the same price?
Check to be sure that the VIN is correct on your paperwork. If the VIN is correct, I would not worry about it. If the VIN is wrong, then the dealer and the finance company need to straighten out the mess. If they ask you to sign a new contract, make sure that all the terms are the same. Do not sign for a higher interest rate, a higher payment or longer term of the loan. Also make sure that the amount financed is the same!!

It seems Lincolns used to be worth the extra money with their unique designs and engines. The Lincoln Mark series was a phenomenal seller in the 70s and outsold Cadillac at the time. Today, Lincolns seem to be re-badged Fords with slightly better trim. The Zephyr/MKZ is just a re-badged Fusion/Milan with the same engine as available to both models and merely a different trim. I love older Lincolns, and have considered getting a new one but I'm not so sure..
I don't recall Lincoln having an edge ever. My sister had a Town Car in the 70s that was so under powered it had trouble climbing hills with no one but the driver in the car.
