Navigation Clean Automatic
I run Windows XP and recent virus problems have left my IE not working properly, so what can I do to fix it?
I had vundo, and actually a host of trojans, adware, and other malware on my computer. I used a linux bootable CD with mcfee on it to clean up some of it, then used malwarebytes to find a ton more damaged files. The attack left me with no restore points and IE would not function, every time I clicked on a url, it gave me "navigation cancelled". There appear to be no traces of any malware on my machine now, firefox works and so does my vpn connection, but IE still gives me the same error. I tried removing IE, I upgraded to IE8, went back to IE6, nothing has helped. I would like to be able to use automatic updates, so I need a functioning IE.
2 answers so far and no one has answered my question. I WANT IE, it doesn't currently work. I already have and use firefox. The anti-virus software I ALREADY HAVE, cleaned my machine. IE is corrupted and I need to fix it, how do I do that?
You're right, you need a functioning IE because Windows Explorer is relying on it too.
1. Run hijackthis to see if the pc is really clean and post the logfile to a forum if you are not sure what the result indicates.
2. Do a system repair with xp setup (start xp from cd and choose repair)
If you received the malware from a file and the file is still on your pc it will install itself over and over again no matter how often you clean your computer up. The real task would be identifying and deleting this file.

2004 Acura TSX: $10,100.00 w/NAV, auto, 132,000 miles - Deal???
Please let me know if you think this is a good deal. For $10,100.00 I have an Acura with 132,000 miles, navigation, dark gray with leather. Automatic, climate control, sunroof, and new tires.
The title is clean, there were 2 accidents reported on the CARFAX, but were reported as minor ones.
Please let me know what your experience with Acura's or Honda's are. I am a VW guy and would like to give this car a shot if it is worth the $$$...

Too many miles for a 04 i got a 90 acura integra with 118k and thats a 04 with 132k hell no don't do it.Too much money for 132k it don't sound good.
