   I think I understand what you are looking to do and the tutorial will give a good understanding of the basics behind the CSS involved. Just get creative with the code once you understand what is happening and you will be able to accomplish your goal. Good luck.

   It may be hanging if it is trying to "clean" a process or program that is actively running.

   If possible, end the process via Task Manager. If you are uncertain which process it is, simply reboot your PC and go into Safe Mode with Networking. Check for MSE updates then run your scan again. Hopefully that will allow you to complete your scan.

   Also, if your scan is detecting malware in your restore volumes, many anti-virus products cannot remove viruses from system restore so you should clear out possible infected points. Disable System Restore and reboot. Don't forget to re-enable it when you log back on. For reference to this, see the link below:

   On one final note, you may want to quarantine anything found rather than deleting it outright. Sometimes security products may flag a legitimate file and if you quarantine it, you can restore it if it is determined that it is required. You can always dump it out of quarantine at a later time.

   Task Manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL) will display all the running processes. There is more running in the background than is displayed on your Task Bar. If you are unfamiliar with Task Manager and the running processes, skip that step and proceed with rebooting into Safe Mode with Networking. To get into Safe Mode, reboot and then either hold down or tap the F8 key repeatedly while the computer is starting up. After a few seconds you'll see a list.

   Safe Mode will only start up critical operating system processes so if a malicious file or program is on your computer, it shouldn't start up making it easier for your security products to clean or quarantine it.
