Six Speed Can I expand my Five speed Jeep to a Six?
I have a '99 four cylinder five speed Jeep Wrangler. The fastest i have ever gotten it to go is about 70 mph and then it is running near 3,000 rpm and sounds like it will explode. So, i was thinking that since you shift near 2,000 rpm that surely i can handle another gear... But, I dont know much about cars or anything else of the sort.

No, you would need to buy a new transmission. Besides, going over 70mph in a Jeep is suicide. 4 bangers are loud but it won't blow up below 5000-6000rpm unless its in BAD shape. Depending on the engine it might even be good over 7-8K rpm like some Hondas. I've got a V6 and I hit 5800 or so daily and bigger engines aren't supposed to rev as high.

What does "six-speed automatic transmission mean?" How does it really work?
I thought automatic transmission doesnt require gear shifters. what really does it mean? ive never owned a car before, plz tell me how you operate it
It's still shifts automatically but it has 6 forward gears for better gas mileage, operates the same as any 3 or 4 speed automatic.

S7 with 430hp V8 wins. V10 would be nice, but not much more horsepower and a lot more expensive.
