Skull Head Mini

Has anyone had a stroke or a mini-stroke and can you tell me what it feels like....?

I had brain surgery for a congenital brain malformation where they took out the back of the skull and most of c1 and C2, since then I have had 2 concussions. I have this sensation in my neck and my lips and tongue and head from time to time and am quite convinced that they are either mini-strokes or perhaps seizures. However, it is hard to describe the symptoms clearly, as it took me 32 years to describe the brain symptoms that I had and generally dismiss everything. . However, I am finding this bothersome and am worried.
Any one else been there?
Any words of advise?
thank you all so much, I guess the problem that I have with my doctor right now, who I adore and who adores me is that i have so many neuroligical problems that it is difficult to find them all. However, this numbness and tingling has been going on since about January and it feels like the blood is being "stopped" from reaching my head.

What the person above me described as a TIA stands for transient ischemic attack. Basically a clot is logged in a part of the brain which stops the blood flow to that area (symptoms can last up to 24 hours) then it becomes dislodged and blood flow returns and your back to feeling normal. Its difficult to find a "clot" because it is moving quickly within the body. A doctor should be able to figure out if it was as TIA or if another medical problem occurred with similar symptoms. Some examples are seizure, fainting, migraine headache, or general medical or cardiac condition. Prompt medical or surgical attention to these symptoms could prevent a fatal or disabling stroke from occurring.

It's very important to recognize the warning signs of a TIA or stroke. The usual TIA symptoms are the same as those of stroke, only temporary:

-Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body
-Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding
-Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
-Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
-Sudden, severe headache with no known cause

The short duration of these symptoms and lack of permanent brain injury is the main difference between TIA and stroke.

TIAs are extremely important predictors of stroke. Don't ignore them! If symptoms appear, you need to call 911 and get medical help immediately.
