Updated Automatic
Is there anyway to find out what was installed after a automatic update?
I see automatic updates just about weekly being downloaded and installed and i'm always wonder what it is they are installing.
Every time Automatic Updates adds something to your computer, it pops up a bubble from your System Tray that says "click here for more information". If you click that it gives a list of all the updates that were recently installed.
You can also check your Control Panel / Add/Remove Programs and look for the Windows Updates section, then sort by date.
You can also check the System Event Log to see what updates were added. Check for source `Automatic Updates` and events 18, 19, and 21.

How do I keep Windows Automatic update from restarting my computer?
The windows Automatic Update dialog box keeps popping up and saying that I have to restart my computer, and that if I don't press the "Restart Later" button in 5 minutes it will automatically restart. I press the button, but the dialog box just pops back up later. I want to leave my computer on overnight without restarting it because i have some programs running that I don't want shut down. How do I keep my computer from restarting while I'm AFK overnight?
Change the automatic update to download and ask before installing (I.E. Dont install automatically), you will be prompted before it installs anything and of course, if it doesnt install anything it wont restart your pc.

that doesn't sound like an MS update that caused that. Never had that problem. Normally just click on the attachment and it opens, or asks to "open or save".
